 Psalm 145:1-20 "I will exalt You, my GOD and King, and praise your Name forever and ever..........

Great is the LORD! He is most worthy of praise! No one can measure his greatness.One generation shall testify Your works to another and shall declare Your mighty acts...... The LORD is gracious and full of compassion, slow to anger and abounding in mercy and loving-kindness. .............. The eyes of all wait for You [looking, watching, and expecting] and You give them their food in due season. You open Your hand and satisfy every living thing with favor. ..........

 The LORD is near to all who call upon HIM, to all who call upon HIM sincerely and in truth. HE will fulfill the desires of those who reverently and worshipfully fear HIM; HE also will hear their cry and will save them.

 My mouth shall speak the praise of the LORD; and let all flesh bless or affectionately and gratefully praise HIS HOLY Name forever and ever.

The Psalmist exalts and praises GOD because HE is worthy. What made the LORD worthy to be exalted and be praised?
1. HIS works - HIS design on all creations.

When we look at all natural things, we see HIS Mighty works that HE made for HIS Glory. When we look at man made things, we see GOD through those works. If it wasn't the LORD who enables men, he cannot do those wonders.

 Because of this, HE is worthy to be exalted and praised. Every living being has a reason to praise and worship HIM including you.

2. The Character of GOD. HE is gracious and full of compassion, slow to anger and abounding in mercy and loving kindness. If GOD didn't have this Character, the whole world would have perished long ago.

 Why? People have weaknesses, people are careless, people are sinful, people are unrepentant, but still the LORD is giving us another chance.

 There shall come a time when the anger of GOD will come upon all the unrepentant people. Because of this Gracious Character of GOD, HE is worthy to be exalted and praised. You have a reason to Praise and worship HIM.

3. The LORD is our help. HE upholds all who are falling and raises up all who are bowed down.

 Because of our sins, weaknesses, carelessness, etc, we don't deserve but the LORD still comes to our aid in times of need.

 HE is worthy to be praised and worshiped. Some have survived in fatal accidents, not because you are holy but because GOD is gracious to you. You didn't deserve to survive when other perished. Probably you have been raised from poverty, to be that great person you are today.

Probably youhave been saved from evil plots against you. Probably you were healed from a deadly disease, and you think, you are lucky.

 No!!!! It's GOD'S blessings. You have a reason to Praise and Worship HIM.

4. The LORD is worthy to be praised and worshiped because "The eyes of all waiting for HIM looking, watching, and expecting and HE gives them their food in due season. HE opens HIS Hand and satisfy every living thing with favor." HE is GOD of Providence, HE provides for needs if the needy. You have a reason to Praise and Worship HIM.

5. GOD dwells among HIS people, HE is near, reachable, accessible through CHRIST. HE hears when we call to HIM in prayer.

HE fulfills the desires of those who reverently and worshipfully fear HIM; HE also will hear their cry and will save them.

 Remember your desires that the LORD has fulfilled and praise HIS HOLY Name.

When you look around your you can see that there are many things that the LORD has done in your life, around your life that's worthy for HIM to receive HIS praise and worship from you. Sometimes yu possess a greedy character that you become angry with GOD over one thing but failing to see the rest of the things HE has done for you.

 Count your blessings and begin to praise and worship HIM,  because HE is worthy. Amen.
