These words, which I am commanding you today, shall be [written] on your heart and mind. You shall teach them diligently to your children [impressing God’s precepts on their minds and penetrating their hearts with His truths] and shall speak of them when you sit in your house and when you walk on the road and when you lie down and when you get up.
Deuteronomy 6:6-7 AMP
The Almighty God instructed the leaders of Israel to teach His commandments, statutes, and judgments to their children.
Everyone was to make sure their children were taught God's commandments, statutes, and judgments. Their conversation should be full of them when they sit, walk, lie down, and rise.
God told them to pass on these laws from one generation to the next. He did not want them forgotten. Today God wants us to do the same to His Word; He wants us to meditate on it day and night and observe it in practice. He also wants us to pass it on from one generation to the next.
Precious One! Can God count on you to pass on His word to the next generation?
