HUMILITY

 

 Whosoever  therefore  shall  humble  himself  as  this  little  child,  the  same  is greatest  in  the  kingdom  of  heaven.

 (Matthew  18:4) Humbleness  is  the  key  to  greatness.

 The  shortest  way  to  the  top in  the  kingdom  of  God  is  going down  (Matthew  20:26-28).  God resists  the  proud  and  gives  grace  to  the  humble.

 Jesus  is  the greatest  person  that  has  ever  walked  on  planet  earth;  He  is  the example  of  the  life  of  humility  that  God  wants  us  to  live.  The first  sin  that  was  ever  committed  is  the  sin  of  pride.  

The  devil  is  the  first  sinner;  he  tried  to  elevate  himself  to  a place  that  he  did  not  belong.

 Some  people  believe  that humbleness  is  a  sign  of  weakness.  That  is  not  true  at  all;  can  we say  Jesus  was  weak?  He  was  used  by  God  in  a  mighty  way.

 His name  was  elevated  above  all  other  names.  Remain  loyal  to  God and  all  those  who  have  been  placed  above  you  by  God. Rebellion  and  disobedience  will  not  help  you  at  all.

 He  made  himself  nothing;  he  took  the  humble  position  of  a  slave  and appeared  in  human  form.

 And  in  human  form  he  obediently  humbled himself  even  further  by  dying  a  criminal's  death  on  a  cross.

 Because  of  this, God  raised  him  up  to  the  heights  of  heaven  and  gave  him  a  name  that  is above  every  other  name,  (Philippians  2:7-9  NLT)
