Showers of blessings

Acts 5:16-22 "And the people gathered also from the towns and hamlets around Jerusalem, bringing the sick and those troubled with foul spirits, and they were all cured.
But the high priest rose up and all who were his supporters, that is, the party of the Sadducees, and being filled with indignation and rage, They seized and arrested the apostles (special messengers) and put them in the public jail. But during the night an angel of the Lord opened the prison doors and, leading them out, said,...... But when the attendants arrived there, they failed to find them in the jail; so they came back and reported,"
This passage reveals some great works done by the Apostles through the power of the HOLY SPIRIT.
Some Jews were jealous of their Service of the Kingdom of GOD.
They felt that their religion was being overtaken, they were becoming less popular. Then they tried to defend their religion by seizing and arresting the Apostles.
GOD rescued them miraculously. This kind of miracle had never happened, so it just puzzled them.
I learnt quite a few things from this passage. This passage is very practical and happening among Christians today.
When filled with the HOLY SPIRIT, you can do great things that are beyond imagination. I have also learnt that, people operating in carnality have a spirit of competing for superiority, and they are easily provoked to jealous, bitterness, anger, hatred etc. They don't understand the power of the HOLY SPIRIT.
I have learnt that GOD has HIS ways of rescuing HIS children. And those who fight against the servants of GOD never prevails.
It is my prayer, that we all desire to be filled with the HOLY SPIRIT and all serve GOD without competition. The competing spirit seek self glory, which is a sin before GOD. Amen.
