Power Of The Holy Spirit

 Acts 4:1-14 ".......

Then on the following day, their magistrates and elders and scribes were assembled in Jerusalem, ....... And they set the men in their midst and repeatedly demanded, By what sort of power or by what kind of authority did you do this healing? Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, Rulers of the people and members of the Sanhedrin Council, ....... Now when they saw the boldness and unfettered eloquence of Peter and John and perceived that they were unlearned and untrained in the schools [common men with no educational advantages], they marveled; and they recognized that they had been with Jesus.And since they saw the man who had been cured standing there beside them, they could not contradict the fact or say anything in opposition."

Please read the whole passage. I have picked few verses to bring out the revelation of GOD. Peter and John were preaching the Gospel according to JESUS' Command. They suffered persecution.

They were thrown into prison, brought before courts accused, judges, restricted etc. But because of the HOLY SPIRIT, Peter responded with boldness. He knew something deeper here: these Jews were only fighting the Will of GOD to happen, so Peter saw beyond these judges stopping them from preaching.

 He saw the devil behind these people. GOD uses people to fulfill HIS plan and purpose. Also the devil uses the people to advance his agenda, frustrate those doing the Will of GOD.

I felt it great to encourage someone filled with the HOLY SPIRIT, also going through difficulties in doing the will of GOD.

You might probably be feeling like I am gonna quit although the HOLYSPIRIT is giving boldness to confront situations and keeping on doing the right thing.

 You sometimes tell yourself, I can't suffer for voluntary work, I can't be persecuted for the things of GOD. I can't be accused Judges, restricted or being questioned.

 This morning, I am encouraging you, don't quit, that's what the devil wants to stop the Will of GOD to happen on earth as it is in Heaven.

I pray for the grace of GOD to descend upon your life, so that you discern the devil's attacks. Don't give up. You are setting a pace like the Apostles. May you be blessed by GOD for your commitment to serve HIS Divine will and purpose. Amen.
