Matthew 6:14-15
"For if you forgive people their trespasses [their reckless and willful sins, leaving them, letting them go, and giving up resentment], your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their trespasses [their reckless and willful sins, leaving them, letting them go, and giving up resentment], neither will your Father forgive you your trespasses."
When I read through this portion of Scripture I realized that many people stumble here on the issue of forgiveness. This is not an easy practice, but we have to learn to do it. Take note as well,there is no condition. You cannot say, I will only forgive if that person does that. Also take note kuti forgiving someone does not mean that you must befriend them bring them close to you. Forgiving means you dont hate them and when you think of what they did to you, you dont have hard feelings but rather you laugh at that experience and even share it as a testimony. May the LORD enanle us to forgive others no matter what. Amen.
