Methodist Church In Zimbabwe Daily Devotion...Isaiah 43:2

DAILY DEVOTION MCZ MISSION DEPARTMENT

Isaiah 43:2

“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you.”

 God with us

It is not doubtful or suggestive that we pass through the waters and through fire. So when we read Isaiah 43:2 we are not talking about if we will pass through waters but rather it is about when! The hidden mystery of life is that we may not know the day or time, but the word when, confirms that it will come to pass.

Brethren and sisters in Christ, troubles and challenges are real. The Psalmist says many are the afflictions of the righteous...but the Lord will deliver them.

Today most people have backslidden, as their faith has been tested by afflictions. When we feel deserted and lonely, we need spiritual eyes,to see that we are not alone.

Elisha prayed for Gehazi that he would see the Heavenly chariots on their side. Child of God you are not alone. God is with us ,in deep waters, in the fires, He is with you,be still and know that the Lord is God

Prayer Point

Dear Lord, help us to be conscious that we are not alone in times of trouble. Open our eyes that we may see. In Jesus name. Amen
