Walk In The Spirit Continuously

 Galatians 5:16-18 "But I say, walk habitually in the Spirit, and then you will certainly not carry out the desire of the sinful nature. For the sinful nature has its desire which is opposed to the Spirit, and the Spirit opposes the sinful nature; for these [two, the sinful nature and the Spirit] are in direct opposition to each other, so that you do not do whatever you want to do. But if you are guided and led by the Spirit, you are not subject to the Law. "

Paul gives a command "walk habitually" meaning to live or lead a lifestyle which seek the HOLY SPIRIT and is responsive to HIS Guidance. To walk also shows a direction, action and a goal of Christian in his daily contact. Paul's point is that : when your lifestyle is responsive to the HOLY SPIRIT, then you will not carry out the desires of the flesh which responds impulsively without regard for GOD and HIS Precepts. Flesh and the SPIRIT are two opposing forces which are continually at war and we are caught up in this warfare.

The flesh and the SPIRIT warfare is for real. Many people are wondering why they are caught up in fleshy lifestyle. You are not the first Christian to be caught up in this mess. It has been there but from what Paul is commanding, it is clear that we must always walk in the SPIRIT continuously. Thus to allow HOLY SPIRIT to have HIS Way and we must be led by the HOLY SPIRIT going where the HOLY SPIRIT is going, to listen to HIS Voice, to discern HIS Will, to follow HIS Guidance. If this happens, then you will saved from giving in to fleshy desires and sin against GOD. For you to overcome fleshly desires, you need to be responsive to the HOLY SPIRIT Guidance. Amen.
