Looking at Genesis 13, we see the abundant prosperity of Abram and Lot. Lot prospered because of Abram, and the land was not able to hold them together. So they had to separate physically, but never at heart. Lot had no promise from God, but he prospered out his relationship with a blessed man with promises. Understand this, brethren, there are certain people who will prosper because they are close to you. And you, also, will prosper in a certain way because of your association with a blessed person. It comes down to relationship. How are your relationships? What does an analysis of them reveal? Do you see a meaningful future out of them? Your association will determine your acceleration in life. Every person in your life is a ship carrying something. How you relate with him or her determines the delivery from the relationship. May the Spirit of God guide you to the right ships to relate with. Because the cargos they deliver into your life is very crucial to your journey.
Genesis 13:2-7 says; _"Abram was very rich in livestock, silver, and gold. He went by stages from the Negev to Bethel, to the place between Bethel and Ai where his tent had formally been, to the site where he had built the altar. And Abram called on the name of Yahweh there. Now Lot, who was travelling with Abram, also had flocks, herds, and tents. But the land was unable to support them as long as they stayed together, for they had so many possessions that they could not stay together, and there was quarrelling between the herdsmen of Abram's livestock and the herdsmen and Lot's livestock."_ Another thing to note is the process. Verse three says, _"Abram went by stages from the Negev to Bethel..."_ At each stage, Abram acquired and accumulated more. Don't rush. Don't take shortcuts. Shortcuts cut short. They short circuit your blessings. They are major sponsors of stagnation. They keep you at a weird stage. Submit to the process.
