*MAKING A DIFFERENCE*
_Learn to do good._
*_Learn to do good. Seek justice. Help the oppressed. Defend the orphan. Fight for the rights of widows._* (Isaiah 1:17)
There is no better way of making a difference than doing good. Because this is easier said than done, the prophet Isaiah asks us to learn to do good.
In learning, one can either master it or miss it. The encouragement and prayer is that we learn, master and be able to do good.
God is happy when good is done to anyone by someone.
Any acts of goodness, he very much appreciates.
From the text we are given a guideline of the the good we can do and how.
Helping those who are suffering under whatever form of oppression; they need our intervention. It is expected of us to be just in our daily lives.
When the whole world is almost convinced that justice is beyond reach, the Christian community is challenged to make a difference by practicing justice in all dealings.
Yes we can! *_Injustice anywhere is a threat to peace everywhere._*
Orphans and widows are on the increase all around us. They need you and me to make a difference by defending them.
They are people just like us, only that they are vulnerable and exposed to the whole ugly hand all the world.
Can they count on me and on you? Can we be their voice? Can they stand one day and give a testimony of the difference brought into their lives by someone like you, someone like me? Yes we can, it is possible. God loved us and so who are we not to share the love given to us so freely? Let us aim for a *distinction in this school of doing good and make a difference. Amen.*
