Had Hannah been only human minded, she would have prayed and asked God to give her a son so that he would protect her from Peninnah's bullying. However, she chose not to wage a war against Peninnah but to concentrate on her relationship with God. Sometimes your breakthrough is affected by missing the point and concentrating your energy on wrong things. Upon realising that your intentions for the breakthrough are amiss God may delay it or even decide otherwise. Hannah's intention was to please God with her breakthrough. She wanted change in her life and also change in the house of God. The change she longed for in her life was to become a mother to a son who would bring change to the house of God. Samuel would for his entire life serve in the temple of the Lord. All that was pleasing to God.
Hannah trusted that God was able, just as the word says, *_"Now to who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine according to his power that is working in us."_* (Ephesians 3:20) God is able and he will enable you to trust him for and with your breakthrough. *Amen.*
