MOTIVATION EXPRESS
with Tendai Muchena
A few years ago, whilst volunteering at The Anglican Cathedral Soup Kitchen, I had a conversation with one of the ladies who were in charge of the kitchen.
It was a general conversation about life, but what stuck with me was what that lady said about the act of giving: sometimes we can doubt the significance of our good deeds, not knowing just how much those deeds mean to the person on the receiving end.
How often do we give something "little" and the person thanks us more than what seems fit?
Do we commit to giving the little we have or we'd rather keep it for ourselves?
In these hard times are we resorting to "one man for himself, God for us all" because we all have problems so I'm just going to look out for myself?
"No act of kindness, however small is ever wasted." - Aesop
_Give and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you._ Luke 6:38
Don't be discouraged by the impact you think your giving will have.
Even giving someone your time, a shoulder to lean on, a listening ear, can make a difference in someone's life.
