howers of blessings come from Ephesians 1:7-8 "In HIM we have Redemption that is, our deliverance and salvation through HIS Blood, which paid the penalty for our sin and resulted in the forgiveness and complete pardon of our sin, in accordance with the riches of HIS grace which HE lavished on us. In all wisdom and understanding with practical insight . "

I want to use an illustration of  the word redeem which Paul uses to explain our current status. We probably know Cash Crusaders or Convetors. It's a pawn shop. If I have no money I can pawn my TV to them, and when I get money I go to the shop and redeem my TV. During the period when I pawn my TV, this TV is useless to me and to the owner of the Pawnshop as well. I can't use it until I redeem it. This is the picture Paul is painting here. By our disobedience we pawned ourselves to sin but CHRIST redeemed us by the price of HIS Blood. In Adam we pawned ourselves to sin and the devil but in CHRIST we are redeemed. HE restored us to be useful before GOD. We have a purpose to fulfil, and now is the time. Amen.
