Let me personally join the Ecumenical family in celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Anglican Diocese of Central Zimbabwe. Makorokoto! Amhlope! Life begins at 40.
Bishop Dr Ignatius Makumbe shared yesterday via an audio that the Anglican Diocese of Central Zimbabwe was born in October 1981, the same day the Anglican Diocese of Manicaland was also born. Congratulations too to Manicaland.
The Central Diocese is currently under the able leadership of Bishop Makumbe who is also a member of the ZCC Advisory Board and Supervisory Council. His predecessor, Bishop I. Mukwanda was a long time ZCC President.
On the same note, the Diocese of Manicaland is under the able leadership of Bishop Eric Ruwona, who is the current ZCC Vice President, having saved in the Advisory Board too for sometime before the current term.
On my own behalf, I celebrate the 40 years of existence of the two Dioceses. Happy 40th year of the Church Bishop Makumbe and Bishop Ruwona, and the entire ecumenical family.
