*Formal Dressing*

*What is it?*

Formal wear, formal attire or full dress is the traditional Western dress code category applicable for the most formal occasions.

Whilst it's initiation is associated with the Westerners it soon became a world over accepted common dress code.

*When is it appropriate to dress formally ?*

Weddings

Work

Interviews

Cocktails

Formal social parties

Dinner

Themed parties

Events were u can dress up in formal are plenty. We could go on and on listing.

From all these occasions that the formal dress code is suitable for, I've just picked 1 so that we can get into detail with it and share on ideas that might be helpful one of these days.

We'll dwell more on dressing up for an interview.

Most of us can at least relate to this topic. Some of us are looking forward to such events.

*When it comes to interviews, before you even say a single word to the interviewer, you have already made an impression based on how you’re dressed.

Every company has a different dress code but please note that how you dress at the job may have very little to do with how you dress for an interview.

Generally, a job interview calls for you to dress formally thus wear something professional, or a business attire.

For men, this might mean a suit jacket and slacks with a shirt and tie or a sweater and button-down.

For women, a blouse and dress pants or a statement dress is appropriate.

You can also incorporate some modern style trends into your outfit.

All interviewees should consider color when selecting an interview outfit and avoid wearing anything too bright or flashy that will distract the hiring manager.

*A few hints for the Gents...*

Always dress a bit more professionally than the average employee at the company.

If you not too sure about the dress code you could always call the coordinator to assist.

When wearing accessories to an interview, less is more. Choose accessories that will enhance your interview attire, not overwhelm it.

There are lots of ways to style your hair for a job interview. While some options are trendy and others are more traditional, remember that your hairstyle should not distract the employer. You will want your hair to be professional and polished, like your entire outfit.

Dress in a manner that is professionally appropriate to the position for which you are applying. In almost all cases, this means wearing a suit. It is rarely appropriate to “dress down” for an interview, regardless of company dress code policy. When in doubt, go conservative.

Your suit should be comfortable and fit you well. If it's become too tight then you might need to invest in a new one.

Avoid loud and flashy colors on yo tie.

Clothing should be neat, clean, and pressed. If you don’t have an iron, either buy one or be prepared to visit the dry-cleaner’s often.

Shower or bath the morning of the interview.

Wear deodorant. Don’t wear cologne or aftershave. You don’t want to smell overpowering or worse off cause an allergic reaction.

Whilst most of these note points are similar for both genders or rather all genders pane pazvinosiyana slightly so let me now outline a few for the women.

*For Ladies*

Generally, you should wear a suit with a skirt or pants.  When in doubt, be more conservative.

Your suit should be comfortable and fit you well.

If your waistband is cutting you in half or your jacket is too tight, you won’t look or act your best.

Find a tailor well in time to adjust a suit you already own.

Interview suits should be simple and dark in color.

Anything tight, bright, short, or sheer should absolutely be avoided.

Knee-length skirts are suggested. Very long skirts, while modest, are also considered too trendy for an interview. If u have any doubts in yo mind then it's probably too short🤦🏾‍♀️

Wear a conservative blouse with your suit. Avoid wearing bright colors, animal prints, or anything lacy, sheer, or low-cut.

Make-up and nail polish should be understated and flattering; shades that are neutral to your skin tone are generally advisable.

Avoid bright or unusual colors or very long nails.

Keep your jewelry and hair accessories to a minimum, and stick to those that are not flashy, distracting, or shiny.

One ring per hand is best.

Shoes should be conservative and fairly heeled. They should be in reasonably good condition, not scuffed or run-down at the heels.
