Humility In Ministry

Showers of blessings

Reverend N Murambadoro

Ephesians 3:7-9 "Of this I was made a minister by the gift of God’s grace given me through the working of His power. To me, [though I am] the very least of all the saints, this grace was graciously given, to proclaim to the Gentiles the good news of the incomprehensible riches of Christ, and to make plain the plan of the mystery which was kept hidden through the ages in God who created all things."

Paul explains his Ministry in these verses. His ministry was to bring and serve the Gentiles and the Jews with the Good News of the incomprehensible riches of CHRIST that Spiritual wealth which no one can fully understand. He was commissioned to deliver a sacred secret, a mystery that had been hidden for ages and generations.

Being a Minister of the Word sometimes confuses the Minister and the people. That's why Paul had to explain his Ministry. A Minister is a humble servant but in this case, how can a humble servant be in prison? It confuses the people. There are also many other things that happens to a Minister which might be in contrast with what people expect and the reality. When called to serve, we need not be discouraged. Keep doing the right thing, when you have the opportunity to explain, do it, if there is no opportunity wait until the right time. Amen.

Blessings and Shalom
