There is nothing amazing that you and I have done to deserve the special love of God.
It is all by the grace of God that we are among the chosen ones who belong to Jesus Christ.
That gives us the reason, if not the challenge to be grateful.
In addition to the grace given to us, God's goodness towards us continues to unfold.
*_For where the spirit of God is there is peace and freedom._* (2 Corinthians 3:17)
This freedom and peace we have received as a result of being specially loved by God.
This is freedom from the slavery of sin.
This freedom results in a peaceful life.
The peace that angels pronounced when they announced the good news about the birth of Jesus Christ.
This is the kind of peace with which Jesus Christ greeted his disciples after his resurrection.
Peace is the gift that Jesus gave to all his believers. *_"I am leaving you with a gift, peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give you isn't like the peace the world gives. So dont be troubled or afraid."_* (John 14:27)
God our Father and our Lord Jesus Christ loved us with such great love.
This love is abundant and free for all his children.
We are blessed beyond measure. *Amen.*
