*CALLED TO BE GOD'S PEOPLE*
_Called out of the world._
*"I have loved you even as the Father has loved me. Remain in my love. The world would love you if you belonged to it, but you don't. I chose you to come out of the world, and so it hates you. (John 15:9,19)*
Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ has loved us with the everlasting love of God because he has also been so loved by God. His love, unlike that of this world, is genuine. If we are to continue enjoying the benefits of God's love, we have to remain connected to him. Like a vine branch which only lives when it is attached to the vine, our life outside God's love is in danger. We become exposed to this ruthless world that loves us not, but smiles at us with crocodile smiles. We do not belong to the world, God actually chose and called us out of it. Any attempt to reconcile with the world would be at one's own peril.
Never think that the world loves you. Any signs of 'love' from the world would only be fake. The world wants to rob us of our joy, our peace, our health and our happiness. That is why Jesus warned us not to love the world. *"Stop loving this evil world and all that it offers you, for when you love the world, you show that you do not have the love of the Father in you*". For the world offers only lust which does not last beyond physical pleasure.
