WHAT IS YOUR REQUEST?
_For God to answer by fire!_
_"Then call on the name of your god, and I will call on the name of the Lord. The god who answers by setting fire to the wood is the true God!" Immediately the fire of the Lord flashed down from heaven and burned up the young bull,the wood, the stones, and the dust, it even licked the water in the ditch._(1 Kings 18:24,38)
There are times in our Christian journey when talk show does not work.
Sometimes a testimony may not be believed, neither teaching nor preaching yield any repentance.
It is when the hearers of the word choose to remain adamant that you have let God himself flex his muscle, and stamp his authority.
When Elijah's patience reached breaking point, he realised that the only option left was to get reinforcement from the owner of the heavens and earth. He simply invited God on stage.
There are times we need to stop preaching, stop teaching, stop negotiating but only request God himself to take control of the situation. This we need to do, not for fame or recognition but, to the glory and honour of the most high God.
Dear Christian, the battle is not yours, but is the Lord's. (2 Chronicles 20:15b)
There is no need to fight, there is God who fights for us. Like Elijah, play your part well and invite him. God will surely respond to your request by fire.
