Light On Thursday: Called To Be God's People

 *Light On Thursday*

*CALLED TO BE GOD'S PEOPLE*

_Loved dearly by God_

*_God loves you dearly, and he has called you to be his very own people._* (Romans 1:6-7)

This is the depth of God's unconditional love.He loves his whole creation but more dearly those he has called to be his very own. You and I are privileged to be God's very own, whom he dearly loves.

This is the kind of love that sets apart and sanctifies us. What a high calling!  As a chosen people we can humbly boast of the special abilities as Christ enables us to do all things. _"For I can do everything with the help of Christ who gives me the strength I need."_ *(Philippians 4:13)*

The is the kind of love that moves God to fight our battles. The enemy my push or pull you down, but like Job, you are never alone. The devil may torment you left right and centre. The persecution may destroy your properties, your family or even your physical body but, because God loves you dearly, the inside person is covered and protected.

Never grow weary, stand firm in faith and strong  in the grace of God. He loves you and will always watch over you. *Amen*
