Light On Wednesday: Peter's Testimony

with Major Isaiah Motsi

*A TESTIMONY*

_Peter's testimony._

*_The woman asked peter, "are you not one of Jesus' disciples?" "No," he said, I'm not."_* (John 18:17)

Simon Peter, also known as the rock; the foundation on which the Church of Jesus Christ would be built, had a great but painful testimony. Peter's testimony could  be written like this: _"I had walked with him all the time and all the way but at one time I denied him. I am happy that I came back to my senses, picked myself up and, here am I today, serving my master."_

We all have our shortcomings. We each have those moments in life where and when we could have done things better. That does not mean the end of us.Though we may fall, we can still pick ourselves up again. *_"For a just man falls seven times, and rises up again._* *(Proverbs 24:16)* We have to get up, dust ourselves and continue with our journey. Peter did just that and carried on with the work of his Master and that became a very strong testimony of his journey with Christ.

Peter finally stood stronger and took the Gospel of Jesus Christ even further. His Testimony could also sound like, _"I am that one who thrice denied him when the challenge became too strong, but here am I now, ready to take any challenge for him and in his name."_ Dear Christian, falling once is  never the end of the road, it is only a testimony in the pilgrim's progress.

*Amen.*
