Light On Wednesday: What Is Your Request ?

WHAT IS YOUR REQUEST?

_To live in the house of the Lord._ 

_"And I will live in the house of the Lord forever._ " (Psalm 23:6b)

It was David's understanding that a relationship with God must never be part time  but, a lifelong  commitment. David also understood that, to keep a life long relationship is not an easy thing, and so he realised that he would need some mentoring in oder to be successful. He chose the house of God as the best place to be mentored. No better place would provide such conditions. 

David therefore prayed, pledged and requested that he lives in the house of God for the rest of his life. What a unique example for anyone aspiring for a life long relationship with God! The secret is; never  leave the house of God. This means living within the standards and precepts of God each and every day. Living with a "WWGS"  (What would God say?" question before making any decision in life.

Many situations may try to take you out of the house of the Lord but, you have to get deeply rooted in God. Your strong anchor will not allow any storm to uproot you out of the House of the Lord. Let it be your prayer, that if you are already in the house of the Lord, may nothing move you out. Remain there forever.
