The Pastor's Kitchen: Chocolate Biscuits

Ingredients 

2 1/2 cup flour

1 cup butter (room temperature)

1 cup white sugar 

2 eggs 

1 tbsp vanilla 

1 cup cocoa powder 

1/2 tsp baking powder 

1/2 tsp bicarb

1/2 tsp salt 


Instructions 


1. In a large bowl sift together all the dry ingredients (except sugar).


2.In another large bowl cream together the butter, sugar . Then add 1 egg at a time and whisk , and add the vanilla.


3.Mix the wet and dry ingredients together. Do not over mix.


4.Divide the dough into two and wrap with a cling wrap and let it chill for 1 hour in the refrigerator.


5.Roll out the dough and cut it out using a square cookie cutter . The dough should be cold through out this step.


6.Bake for 9-12 minutes in a preheated oven ( 180 Degrees Celsius).
