"Something to pray about"

MAIN SCRIPTURE 📖

2 Thessalonians 3:1-2

[1]FURTHERMORE, BRETHREN, do pray for us, that the Word of the Lord may speed on (spread rapidly and run its course) and be glorified (extolled) and triumph, even as [it has done] with you,

[2]And that we may be delivered from perverse (improper, unrighteous) and wicked (actively malicious) men, for not everybody has faith and is held by it.

When we seek to advance the Kingdom of God, preaching the Gospel and living in His truth, we must never assume that everyone will listen or will be inclined to do us good.

Fom our opening verses, Apostle Paul instructs and requests the saints to pray about 2 main things:

1. That the Word of God might spread quickly, unhindered, prevail and be glorified.

2. That they mught be delieveed from wicked and ungodly men who do plot evil against the work of God and seek opportunities to act maliciously against the God's people.

It is of necessity that I inform you today, that not everyone is for the Gospel, not every leader or persons of authority. in tuese last days, so much is being plotted by the devil against the church, yet, so much is being done by the Lord to make manifest His glory by the church.

One time, apostle Paul wrote:

II Timothy 4:14-17

[14]Alexander the coppersmith did me much harm. May the Lord repay him according to his works.

[15]You also must beware of him, for he has greatly resisted our words.

[16]At my first defense no one stood with me, but all forsook me. May it not be charged against them. The Lord Is Faithful

[17]But the Lord stood with me and strengthened me, so that the message might be preached fully through me, and that all the Gentiles might hear. Also I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.

So, pray about these two things. There are a lot of "Alexander the Coppersmith" today, but in the name of Jesus they will not prevail against the church.

Its time, we pray, and pray seriously.
