MAIN SCRIPTURE 📖

The Passion Translation Psalm 107:23-24

Some of us set sail upon the sea to faraway ports, transporting our goods from ship to shore. 

We were witnesses of God’s power out in the ocean deep; we saw breathtaking wonders upon the high seas.

I will present today's message in note form for clarity on some issues.

Let us follow through these Scriptures, from the NJKV

Psalms 107:23-30

[23]Those who go down to the sea in ships, Who do business on great waters,

[24]They see the works of the Lord, And His wonders in the deep.

This is an encouragement for those who do business, whether small or big, the "great waters" there in some versions is "seas", symbolic of peoples. Those who do business can still see (experience) the wonders of God in the market place.

[25]For He commands and raises the stormy wind, Which lifts up the waves of the sea.

[26]They mount up to the heavens, They go down again to the depths; Their soul melts because of trouble.

[27]They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, And are at their wits’ end.

Turbulent times do come in the economy and have a negative impact on businesses, there could be "inflation"- the waves mounting up to the heavens or "depression"- the waves going down to the depths. The unstable economic conditions bring a lot of frustration, fear and suffering to many people. 

[28]Then they cry out to the Lord in their trouble, And He brings them out of their distresses.

Its time to pray about your economic condition or your business and speak God's word. 

In these uncertain times, you need God's grace to function, wisdom and guidance from above, so that you will "not reel to amd fro and stagger like a drunken man". 

[29]He calms the storm, So that its waves are still.

[30]Then they are glad because they are quiet; So He guides them to their desired haven.

Thank God, He can change circumstances for your favour and help you reach your destiny. 

Isaac experienced God's blessing, success and progress in harsh economic conditions. It was possible by the Spirit of God. He sowed crop in a dry land and reaped a hundred fold, thats a huge "profit margin"! He always dug the right places for water.

I believe, despite the devil's attempt to cripple economies and bring nations to their knees through the Covid pandemic, God is still a good God and is more than willing to fulfil His Word. He is STILL A GOOD GOD even in these times.
