_"Now return to me, and I will return to you," says the Lord almighty._ (Malachi 3:7b)
Another area God is always eager to work on is broken relationships. Right from the creation God meant to have a lasting relationship with man, but because of sin that relationship was broken.
God does not grow weary in his effort to restore the broken relationship. He is always inviting us to return to him and enjoy everlasting peace.
Whilst God wants to recreate the lost relationship with mankind, he also invites us to mend our broken interpersonal relationships.
God is grieved when relationships within families, between couples, communities or even nations are broken. God wants peace and love to prevail in all his creation.
We do not gain anything from fighting among ourselves and straining pre-existing relationships.
God always wishes and works for a peaceful world. We need to complement God's effort and seek peace one with the other and between nations. For God is a peace loving God and that peace is achieved by mending all broken relations thereby recreating stronger relationships.
