DO NOT FORGET THE LORD
_Who chose you?_
_"The Lord did not set his heart on you and choose you because you were more numerous than other nations, for you were the smallest of all nations. Rather it was simply that the Lord loves you."_(Deuteronomy 7:7-8)
If it were by power or intelligence, some people would not be where they are today. It is by God's grace and choice that most of us are positioned where we are today. God's wonderful love did all for us. _"For God so loved the world."_
Such was the case with the children of Israel. They were neither famous nor were they a big nation. In fact they were the smallest and the weakest of all the nations. But God loved them and chose to raise them from a weak and looked down upon people to the most powerful and famous nation. What God loves he protects, what God chooses he blesses and preserves. All that he did for the children of Israel.
God loved and still loves you today. Look back and trace where you have come. You were not powerful, not outstanding. When the grace of God located you, he picked you up, cleaned and polished you.
Today you are the shining star that you are because of the love and care of God. _What does God expect of you?_ Not much; just acknowledge him and come before him in thanksgiving. Amen
