Harare - Despite incessant lockdowns, one of Zimbabwe's finest gospel guru Trymore Bande will this Friday launch video 'Phone yangu' in honour of his die hard fans.
The video is on 2016 song that clearly touches on how people are using their cellphones right in church.
"A church is a place of worship but people are diluting the essence of praying.
"A lot does happen, with people watching soccer, surfing the net or being on WhatsApp while service is in progress," said Bande.
Scores of people said they are waiting impatiently for the video.
"Videos are very important for families. Bande has done a good thing in producing a video since he keeps in touch with his fans.
"Watching videos keeps us in connection with the singer. The song is a social commentary of what people are doing," said Oliver Dondo.
The launch is unique and one of its kind as it will be on WhatsApp from 2000hrs till late.
People who spoke to this publication express their gratitude towards the launch.
"It is good to see our local artists using social media platforms in getting in touch with their fans." they said.
This is Bande's sixth album and is getting better with age like wine.
