Light On Saturday

BLESSINGS ASSURED AND REINFORCED 

_"I am  the God of your father Abraham," he said. "Do not be afraid, for I am with you and will bless you. I will multiply your descendants, and they will become a great nation."_

(Genesis 26:24)

While the enemy was busy opposing Isaac and fighting him, God assured him of blessings and reinforced his commitment to bless him even more. 

Note that Isaac was never deterred and his focus was forward ever, with God in the lead. 

God even promised to multiply his descendants into a great nation, meaning he had the potential to fight the enemy but, he chose to remain peaceful.

Child of God, you do not always need to fight your rivals; sometimes you only need to listen to God's direction and follow it. 

When God promises he delivers according to his promise no matter how much opposition you may face.

 

God's word and position are mightier than any obstacle. Without God, your own intelligence or power may yield nothing. He stands by his word. 

_"I will do this because of my promise to Abraham my servant._ (Genesis 26:d)

I invite you to emulate Isaac, who only responded to all negativity by working even harder, building an alter, worshipping God and digging more wells. (Genesis 26:25)

Nehemiah did the same, he concentrated on his work and never got time to reason or ague with the enemy. 

(Nehemiah 6:1-4)

Just keep doing good and God will keep  protecting and blessing you. His promises are new and true everyday. Amen.
