PLANS TO KILL YOU
_When Joseph's brothers saw him coming, they recognized him in the distance. As he approached, they made plans to kill him._ (Genesis 37:18)
By his visit, Joseph had not intended any harm to his brothers. He most probably had brought them some food supplies, and this he was doing whole heartedly. Little did the young man know that hate had developed within his brothers and were up for his blood.
This unfortunate development is not unique to Joseph only, it happens in many a family set-up. You may innocently work with or for some family members yet they may actually be planning evil against you. People would actually connive to kill someone despite benefitting nothing from it. Joseph and his brothers' case was like bitting the finger that fed them. They thought they could fix Joseph.
Little did they know that God was in it and would not allow such evil to befall Joseph.
In such situations it is important to have a good relationship with God.
Joseph's relationship with God saved him. You may have enemies who may be planning not only your downfall but your elimination as well.
Whether you know it or not, put your trust always in God and, he will defend you. God was Joseph's complete shield, and he can also be your shield. Amen
