Tuesday showers of blessings come from Ephesians 6:5-8 "Servants, be obedient to those who are your physical masters, having respect for them and eager concern to please them, in singleness of motive and with all your heart, as service to CHRIST 6 Not in the way of eye-service as if they were watching you and only to please men, but as servants of CHRIST, doing the will of GOD heartily and with your whole soul; 7 Rendering service readily with goodwill, as to the LORD and not to men, 8 Knowing that for whatever good anyone does, he will receive his reward from the LORD, whether he is slave or free."
This portion teaches us work ethics. This is what should differentiate Christians from non Christians. Obedience, respect and eager concern to please your superiors are some of the characteristics of a Christian. Serving with a single motive and putting all your heart as if serving CHRIST HIMSELF is what's expected of a Christian. Eye or lip service is condemned, no one should render this. Your service should reveal that you are doing the Will of the LORD heartily and with all your soul. It does not matter where you are working, but just do with all your heart, in obedience as if you are being watched. Obviously there is a reward. Vs 8 tells us that everything you do, GOD sees it and HE will reward you. My prayer for Christians is that, wherever they serve, they must set a high Standard of service. Amen.
