Wednesday showers of blessings come from Matthew 9:11-12 "And when the Pharisees saw this, they said to His disciples, Why does your Master eat with tax collectors and those [preeminently] sinful? But when Jesus heard it, He replied, Those who are strong and well (healthy) have no need of a physician, but those who are weak and sick."
Religious people were concerned about things which are not important. JESUS' approach to evangelism was condemned. They didn't believe in associating with sinners and I wonder how they evengelized them. JESUS responded by giving them an illustration: those who are healthy have no need of a Doctor but those who are weak and sick.
What does this mean to us? Sometimes we can also be caught up in serving GOD wrongly. Focusing on religious Do-s and Don'ts but failing to show love. JESUS demonstred love to sinners and it is our turn to do likewise. Amen.
