Matthew 14:15-16
Now when it was evening, the disciples came to him and said,_ _“This is a desolate place, and the day is now over; send the crowds away to go into the villages and buy food for themselves.” But Jesus said, “They need not go away; you give them something to eat.”
The compassionate Christ.
When we are faced with responsibility over our brothers and sisters we normally dwell on our capabilities to do such things. In the case above Christ demonstrated His care for the flock, while the disciples advocated for their dismissal, Jesus said feed them .
Secondly the people people were fed from the little that Jesus had blessed. When we exercise earnest care and compassion through feeding the needy from our little resources, God blesses us and we will never lack.
Prayer
Lord help us to exercise care and compassion towards the needy, that we may be blessed in Jesus name, Amen.
