Mark 10:36-37
And he said to them, “What do you want me to do for you?” And they said to him, “Grant us to sit, one at your right hand and one at your left, in your glory.”
It is a common phenomenon to see people desiring elevation in their lifetime, from the secular to the religious world. Here we find two disciples who happened to be brothers requesting to be placed closer.
Jesus takes the opportunity to teach the rest that it is not about the position,titles but is about service. Many people have a wrong perception that they can only serve God on leadership positions. Instead desire to serve and not lead.
Prayer
Lord help me to have the eagerness to serve wherever I go, for reward is for those who serve, in Jesus name , Amen.
