Friday showers of blessings come from Philippians 2:12-13 "12 Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, 13 for it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose."
Paul commend that these Brethren were now living out their faith for the world to see and learn from them. Their obedience was not situational to Paul's presence but even in his absence. Obedience in this matter refers to Philippians following Paul's teachings. Obedience is another way of demonstrating your Salvation. Therefore, Paul urges the family of Believers to live out, practice, demonstrate, and exhibit the salvation which believers have in CHRIST. Amen
