Friday showers of blessings come from Philippians 2:28-30 "28 Therefore I am all the more eager to send him, so that when you see him again you may be glad and I may have less anxiety. 29 Welcome him in the Lord with great joy, and honor men like him, 30 because he almost died for the work of Christ, risking his life to make up for the help you could not give me."
The sacrifice revealed here is of a higher level. We heard that Epaphroditus was sick to the point of death but in no time he is ready and willing to go to Philippi. Let's just reflect on this: How would you respond to such a calling. I am just thinking how people refuse to respond GOD'S call without any form of sickness, what more if they have flue. Paul also encouraged Philippians and us Brethren to receive Man of GOD with joy and honour. He wished this for Epaphroditus a risk taker and Men of GOD of our time. May the LORD enable us to surrender all unto HIM our Blessed SAVIOUR, so that we can be selfless and sacrifice for Gospel of our LORD. Amen.
