Thursday showers of blessings come from Philippians 1:7-9 "7. It is right for me to feel like this about all of you. It is because you are very dear to me. While I was in prison and when I was proving that the Good News is true, you all shared God’s loving-favor with me. God knows what I am saying. He knows how much I love you all with a love that comes from Jesus Christ."
I am picking from vs. 6. where Paul reveals his confidence on them. He moves on to share with them how he feels about them and how important are they to him. They stood with him in the darkest moments of his life. The time he was in prison and they supplied his needs. These Philippians demonstrated true love of a true Christian. Because of this, in response Paul confesses his love for them. If we look carefully here we see in both ways, love for the LORD your GOD and love for your neighbour. This is what compels Paul to share in his letter. My challenge for you is: What are you remembered for? What are we remembered for as a Church? Amen.
