Thursday showers of blessings come from Philippians 2:24-27 "And I am confident in the Lord that I myself will come soon. 25 But I think it is necessary to send back to you Epaphroditus, my brother, fellow worker and fellow soldier, who is also your messenger, whom you sent to take care of my needs. 26 For he longs for all of you and is distressed because you heard he was ill. 27 Indeed he was ill, and almost died. But God had mercy on him, and not on him only but also on me, to spare me sorrow upon sorrow."
Paul was in prison because of the Gospel. In that suffering, he was hopeful of his release. He spoke of his confidence faith and hope to visit the Philippians. What a positive mindset in times of trouble. Philippians were there to support Paul, supplying all his needs while in prison. Epaphroditus was their messenger, spiritual leader and core worker of Paul. Something we need to learn about life is that, anyone can suffer injustice like Paul or be sick no matter what's your relationship with GOD. When you walk this road of the shadow of death, do not accuse GOD. Instead, be positive, have faith and hope in the LORD, HE is with you like HE did with Israel. Read Isaiah 43:1-2. Amen.
Blessings and Shalom
