Thursday showers of blessings come from Colossians 2:4 "I say this so that no one will deceive you with persuasive [but thoroughly deceptive] arguments."
It appears the time when Scripture was written down Gnostic teachers were penetrating to deceive them with persuasive deceptive arguments. In vs 3 Scripture presented the sufficiency of CHRIST. Full knowledge of the LORD JESUS CHRIST protects the believer from deception. Mature believers protect themselves from crafty deceit from others by the full knowledge of the LORD JESUS CHRIST. Being equipped with the knowledge of CHRIST enables us to resist the devil until he flees away. Today's we can meditate on how do we obtain full knowledge of CHRIST and what is gnosticism which is an enemy. A lot of religious circles are influenced by gnosticism.
