Tuesday showers of blessings come from Colossians 2:8 "See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the world, and not according to CHRIST."
Paul continues to warn Colossians of the things that can take them captive. Philosophy was the first one. Paul is condemning philosophy which is based on explicitly anti-Christian principles. False teachers at Colossie were using all deceptive tactics to take these Christians captive. What was happening to this Church is still happening today against the Holy Catholic Church of JESUS CHRIST where all denominations belong. The devil is using philosophy and deception to capture Christians. Paul's call to Colossians and to us this morning is to stand firm against such,resisting the devil and he will flee away. Huyai tirambire paShoko redu rekare. We are in a modern world with modern life style and even modern worship but the Word of GOD remains the same. Amen.
