Proverbs 30:7-9
Two things have I required of thee; deny me them not before I die:
8 Remove far from me vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food convenient for me:
9 Lest I be full, and deny thee, and say, Who is the LORD? or lest I be poor, and steal, and take the name of my God in vain.
Convenient blessings
It is a common phenomenon that people tend to be distracted in their service to the Lord either because of riches or poverty. What are riches then, in other words these are possessions beyond someone's control.
Therefore we need the grace to continue to worship God regardless of what we have.Poverty on the other hand breeds negative thoughts on God as the provider. The writer of this particular text therefore requests to be given treasure enough to keep him content with the Lord.

Lord Jesus help us to serve you in sincerity. We pray for contentment in Jesus name, Amen.
