NLT Bible. Jeremiah 17:9-10
[9]“The human heart is the most deceitful of all things,
and desperately wicked.
Who really knows how bad it is?
[10]But I, the lord, search all hearts
and examine secret motives.
I give all people their due rewards,
according to what their actions deserve.”
All human motives seem to be laid, hatched and bred in the heart. Take a self introspection and find out how your heart has led you into doing evil things to others. Why would you choose to lose eternity when you have the opportunity to train your heart to eliminate any negative motives which cause you to sin. Don't engage in self discussion when you have an issue with someone, in most cases the heart causes you to come up with a list of false accusations which no one would have spoken. When this happens know that the heart is positioning you to be deceitful. God is warning us to avoid using our hearts to do wicked things to others, so love the people you see for God to love you in return, 1 John 4:20.
