Power Of The Word

 NLT Bible. 2 Timothy 3:16-17

[16]'All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.

[17]God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.'

If you make it a habit to read and reflect on God's Word, not matter how much you are tempted, you will be able to resist being overpowered by sin. In everything you do, relate it to the Word of God. When you keep asking yourself what the Word of God says before you do something, that is the moment He assigns His Holy Spirit to save you from falling into sin. It's good to rely on what one is taught, be it at elementary school, high school, tertiary institutions, career development and coaching schools or anywhere where teaching to acquire new knowledge, skills and experience happen, but all that learning and teaching is useless unless it draws reference from the Word of God. When you make reference to the Word of God, you consciously prepare yourself to receive guidance from God, (Colossians 3:1-4). There are so many people who are made to or turn away from believing in Jesus Christ because of the places where they are taught. Just think about what our lives will be like if all the teaching-learning places were to include teaching of the Word of God, (The Gospel)! Wouldn't it be easy for someone to easily shun reading or desire to learn about destructive and faith removing materials from websites that churn out information about worldly living? Is the job you are doing teaching you about Jesus Christ? Is the school where you are receiving your education teaching anything about Jesus Christ? Is the teaching you are receiving preparing you to do the good works God wants you to do? If your answer is no to anyone of these questions, then know ye therefore that God is still using whoever is preaching His Gospel to you to empower you to remain connected to Him, and He will not let you down in whatever situation. Before you do anything today, ask yourself whether God is into what you want to do and listen to what the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:8 continues to be fulfilled in your every day encounters with Jesus Christ) whispers into your ears; that way you will have what Jesus Christ has done for you revealed (Philippians 3:10, yes this scripture must spur you to find out who Jesus Christ is and what He has already done for you and me). Good morning believer in Christ Jesus? May the grace, peace and love of Jesus fill you to do the good work which pleases God.
