Thursday showers of blessings come from Colossians 3:7-8 "...... You also once walked in those, when you lived in them; but now you also put them all away: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and shameful speaking out of your mouth."
This Scripture is just a continuation of vs 5-6. If you have died and was raised with CHRIST, therefore live lives which prove that transformation. So that you will be spared of GOD’S Wrath. Furthermore Scripture reminds us that we were at some point like those who have not died and raised with CHRIST. Since we are no longer like that, we must take a step further and put away certain weaknesses such as: anger, slander, shameful talk.......and so on. These are weaknesses that we need to intentionally put away. As we begin the day, let us meditate on this Word and ask GOD to help us put away these weaknesses. Amen.
