Endure For Christ's Sake

Hebrews 11:37-38

37 They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented;

38 (Of whom the world was not worthy:) they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth.

Endure for Christ's sake

The Christian life was risky after the death of Jesus Christ .There was intense persecution on the part of believers. They had a choice between renouncing their faith or lose their lives. The writer of Hebrews chronicles how they suffered, all for the sake of Jesus Christ. 

Religious persecution is still on,albeit in other forms, even among believers.Moreso, there are parts of the world where Christianity is still prohibited. We need to endure for Christ's sake and pray for those whose lives are at risk. 

Prayer

Heavenly Father we come before you in humility, cover your people with your presence, those who suffer for your name's sake, in Jesus name, Amen.
