Monday showers of blessings come from 1 Thessalonians 2:1-2 "For you yourselves know, brothers, our visit to you wasn’t in vain, but having suffered before and been shamefully treated, as you know, at Philippi, we grew bold in our GOD to tell you the Good News of GOD in much conflict."
Paul and Silas had suffered at Philippi for the sake of the Gospel. They had been beaten and imprisoned at Philippi according to Acts 16:19–24, but they did not abandon the ship - their missionary assignment. They continued with boldness to preach the gospel at Thessalonica in spite of fierce opposition. We can all see that the conditions in which the Apostles preached the Gospel, wasn't favourable but that unpleasant situation did not silence them. They actually grow more positive and bold. The example they demonstrated leave us with no excuse. We have no reason why we can't take the Gospel to another level. Let us take the challenge and be more positive in serving GOD than entertaining opposing forces. Everything discouraging and opposing is meant to stop the spread of the Gospel. Don't give up your service unto the LORD. Amen.
