Don't Be Ashamed Of Gospel Of Christ

Don't be ashamed to tell others Jesus Christ is Lord of your life

'1 Peter 3

15. Instead, you must worship Christ as Lord of your life. And if someone asks about your hope as a believer, always be ready to explain it.'

There are so many people who suffer mental stress when they do something wrong. Shame is one human attribute which makes most people fall prey to suffering from traumatic mental health stress. It is when someone thinks they have done a horrible thing which no one has ever done. It is when someone personalizes a mistake to become part of their day to day life. They see the mistake beyond what has caused them to make the wrong decision. Mistakes silhouette even one's best decisions they have done before and one ponders the consequences in perpetual self blame. I have witnessed a lot of Christians failing to rise up to their divine call to confess the Lordship of Jesus Christ in their life whenever they meet other people, especially family members or close significant others. Imagine how someone may behave (I am talking about a known believer in Christ Jesus, unless if we don't know about them) when they join a family traditional ritual! Thing of this; in our African traditional beliefs and culture, there is always a cause for someone's death, alright! Such cause of death has to be 'spiritually' investigated of its cause so that naming and shaming of the ones who would have caused the death is done. No one ever thinks about how familial relations will be strained in the now and forever life to come! Those whom we know confessing their obedience to Jesus Christ are known to be great contributors of either money or decisions regarding this 'spiritual' investigation of someone's cause of death. This is where it becomes obvious their confession of Jesus Christ as their Lord is flawed. I can go on and on giving many examples where you as well could have witnessed someone doing the opposite of who they say they are or where you frequently participated in such ritual events. In my devotional for today, I just want to encourage someone that it is not shameful to vouch about Jesus Christ as your Lord, no matter what others may think about you. It is this Truth that Jesus is your Saviour which will set you free. When you always trust and believe in the Lordship of Jesus Christ, it is rare to be subjected to unnecessary mental health stress for the Holy Sprit gives you the confidence you are on the right path to eternity. So, my beloved believer in Christ Jesus, don't be ashamed of telling others how Jesus is doing wonders in your life by confessing that He is Lord of your life.

Don't be swayed by what others think about your faith in God, instead help others to be reconciled to Him. Good morning?
