Tuesday showers of blessings come from 1 Thessalonians 4:13 "But we don’t want you to be ignorant, brothers, concerning those who have fallen asleep, so that you don’t grieve like the rest, who have no hope."
Paul started focusing on a different subject of death. GOD reveals to him that there are people who are ignorant about death. It is seen in the way they mourn and grieve. Here, Paul is correcting that ignorance. He reveals that death to believers is sleeping but death to unbelievers is perishing. There is hope for life after death to believers and there is no hope for unbelievers. The way Christians respond to death should show a distinction from unbelievers. Of course, we all grieve, we all mourn, we all feel the loss, but beyond all these, we have hope in CHRIST our LORD. May the LORD enable us to perceive death from GOD’S perspective. Amen.
