Johnson Suleman, a televangelist and the senior pastor and general overseer of Omega Fire Ministries International, a church with its headquarters in Auchi, Edo State, Nigeria on Monday commenced a 2-day crusade at UMA grounds in the central bussiness district, Kampala.
The well-known televangelist used his speech to encourage Christians in Uganda to cultivate the habit of reading the Bible daily.
Under the sermon title ‘according to the prophecy,’ inspired by 1 Timothy 1:18, Apostle Suleman explained that it is important for Christians to read the Bible so as to know who they are, and the authority accredited to them through Christ.
Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away, the Apostle quoted Matthew 24:35.
Where the word of a king is, there is power, he quoted Ecclesiastes 8:4.
Apostle Suleman also quoted Acts 20:32 which says; And now I commend you to God and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up and to give you the inheritance among all those who are sanctified.
“The Word of God is prophecy. Each time you are reading the bible, you are reading prophecy. When the Bible says; by his stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:5), that is a prophecy upon your life,” he explained, later quoting 1 Peter 2:19-21.
In his biography published on the ministry’s official website, Apostle Johnson Suleman, explains that his desire for ministry all began with a passion for souls, which he says “has been unquenchable since its birth.”
The gospel crusade is expected to end Tuesday.
