God's great plans for you

 John 19

22. 'Pilate replied, “No, what I have written, I have written.”

Imagine if it were God handing down judgement on someone's waywardness! All our lives we go about telling people we are very pious Christians, we know God's Word more than others. When I read this verse, I have been prompted to make an analogue of an event taking place at God's Judgement Gate! There are so many times you have preached Jesus to other people, but no one listened to you, (I mean a number of them tended not to believe you or like what you told them). Pilate knew Jesus had no case He had committed, but when leaders of the Jews said something about the Jewish law, he got unsettled and was unable to make a decision (verses 7-8 above). This is what happens as well when issues about worship of ancestral spirits is defended as way of worshipping God. I know it may be rather confusing for the reader to understand what I am thinking and talking about! There are so many situations in your life where people have tried to reason with you to not believe in God as the only one worth of our worship. One interesting thing about today's scripture verse is that what God has decreed always turn out to be what it is. Pilate says he can't change what He has written, and this is also the same with you. If you have been accused of having done something wrong which is right, there is no one who can change what God has declared over your life's circumstances. You are who you are because of what God has planned for you, (Jeremiah 1:5, 29:11-13, 1 Corinthians 15:10), and you also need to bear in mind that there are so many people out there who are ready to change your God given life story, (John 19:7). Pilate says to Jesus he has the power to release Him, but Jesus knew how unknowledgeable Pilate is about things of the heavenly realm. Keep your faith burning so that no one distracts you from realizing God's promise in Hebrews 11:1, and always remember what Romans 8:28 says about your life's up and downs. You are set for success and sustaining your faith in Jesus Christ will take you to eternity. Good morning believer in Christ Jesus?
